After Ranbir is assumed to be dead, Prachi raises her daughters Khushi and Purvi all by herself. Khushi marries into the Randhawa family while Purvi’s marriage is fixed with Ashutosh. However, soon she develops feelings for a boy named RV whom she meets by accident and bumps into on several occasions.

Prachi, bearing a striking resemblance to her mother, Pragya, is characterized by her sweet and caring nature, and holds a strong moral compass. Her life becomes entangled in a love triangle involving Rhea and Ranbir. While she initially strives to salvage her marriage with Ranbir, fate takes an unexpected turn as she ends up marrying Akshay.  After several incidents, Prachi ends up with Ranbir and reunites with their daughter Khushi. Soon she gets pregnant with another child whom she names Purvi. Ranbir dies in an accident, and Prachi raises her daughters alone.

Ranbir, the charming and handsome heartthrob of the college, undergoes significant character development as he navigates the complexities of love and relationships, especially in his pursuit of Prachi. He is determined to win Prachi back after losing her. 20 years later, Ranbir is assumed to be dead, but is alive and lives by the identity of Krishna Kakkad.

Plot points

1. Pragya and Abhi, torn apart by grief, blame each other for the tragic death of their first daughter, Kiara. They decide to split their twin daughters as they separate. Pragya takes custody of the elder twin, Prachi, while Abhi raises the younger one, Rhea.
2. Twenty years later, Prachi and Rhea have become two very different young women living separate lives. Prachi, under the loving guidance of her mother Pragya, mirrors her mother’s caring and honest nature. In stark contrast, Rhea has been influenced by her aunt Alia, becoming spoiled, selfish, and cunning.
3. A love triangle develops between Prachi, Rhea, and Ranbir Kohli, the college heartthrob and Abhi’s friend’s son.
4. Abhi and Pragya reunite with their daughters, but complications arise when Abhi’s old flame, Tanu, returns and marries him, despite his intentions to remarry Pragya.
5. Amid this turmoil, love blossoms between Prachi and Ranbir. However, Rhea’s deep affection for Ranbir leads her to manipulate him to secure her marriage with him. In the end, Prachi and Ranbir hold a secret marriage with Pragya’s blessings.
6. Abhi misunderstands that Pragya favours Prachi over Rhea, leading to their separation. Simultaneously, the Kohli family disowns Ranbir and Prachi.
7. Tragedy strikes as Pragya is involved in an accident and presumed dead.
8. Two years later, Pragya returns from Australia wanting to seek revenge on Abhi, as she believes that Abhi was behind her supposed murder attempt.
9. Prachi and Ranbir’s marital life blossoms as they find acceptance within the Kohli family.
10.  Rhea gets married to Siddharth, Ranbir’s cousin and becomes Pragya’s sister-in-law.
11. Abhi and Pragya reconcile, but their happiness is short-lived as they face another accident, leading both of them to fall into a coma.
12. Rhea continues her malicious efforts to sow discord between Ranbir and Prachi. Her manipulations lead Ranbir to accuse Prachi of an extramarital affair with Siddharth. As a result, the couple separates.
13. A year later, Ranbir becomes a successful businessman, while Prachi, still heartbroken, seeks solace from her mother’s mentor, Sushma. During this, Prachi learns she is pregnant with Ranbir’s child.
14. Believing that Prachi has moved on and due to Rhea’s staged suicide drama, Ranbir marries Rhea but their marriage is invalid.
15. Prachi, however, remains determined to assert her legal rights as Ranbir’s wife and fights against Rhea and Alia’s malevolent actions.
16. Ultimately, Rhea and Alia are exposed and expelled from the Kohli household. In the end, Prachi and Ranbir remarry, rekindling their love.
17.  Alia kills Abhi and Pragya while they are still in a coma. but is held accountable for her crimes and is sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment.
18. Prachi gives birth to a baby girl, Panchi. Sadly, Alia escapes from prison and kidnaps Panchi, subsequently throwing her into a river, leading to Panchi being presumed dead.
19. This drives a wedge between Ranbir and Prachi, causing them to blame each other for their daughter’s tragic fate.
20. Prachi meets with an accident and is assumed to be dead.
21. 6 years later, Prachi and Panchi are revealed to be alive, unknown to the Kohlis, who are on the brink of bankruptcy. Prachi resides in Bangalore, working as a successful manager at a renowned company, while Panchi, now known as Khushi, is adopted by Laali and leads a challenging life selling flowers on the street.
22. Ranbir works for a company owned by a businessman but overseen by his daughter, Kaavya, who develops feelings for him, unaware of his marital status. She also befriends Prachi, oblivious to her connection with Ranbir.
23.  Prachi and Ranbir cross paths with Khushi, unaware of her true identity as their long-lost daughter, Panchi.
24.  Prachi and Ranbir’s reunion is marred by lingering resentment from their past.
25. Prachi’s boss’s son, Akshay, returns from London, carrying feelings for Prachi. Rhea returns to Delhi.
26. Ranbir and Prachi individually discover Khushi’s true identity as their long-lost daughter. Khushi also learns about her biological parents.
27. The orphanage refuses to allow Prachi and Ranbir to adopt Khushi due to their unmarried status. In a bid to gain custody, they decide to marry Akshay and Rhea, respectively.
28. Alia returns to exact revenge and manipulates Rhea, intensifying her obsession with Ranbir.
29. As preparations for the marriage progress, Ranbir realises he still loves Prachi and cannot proceed with his marriage to Rhea. Ranbir fails to stop Prachi and Akshay’s marriage.
30. Later, Ranbir discovers that Akshay and Prachi’s marriage is a ruse. Ranbir vows revenge on Prachi and issues a challenge, asserting his determination to re-enter her life.
31. Three months later, Ranbir expels Alia and Rhea from his family home, while Prachi lives with her new family, having adopted Khushi and sent her to London for better studies.
32. Coincidentally, Ranbir becomes entangled with Mihika, Akshay’s sister, and poses as her fiance for the family after Mihika’s real lover abandons her.
33. Prachi is surprised by Ranbir’s presence in her new home, and Ranbir soon realises that Prachi’s marital situation is more complex than it appears. Turmoil unfolds as Mihika falls in love with Ranbir and Akshay and Mihika attempts to keep Ranbir and Prachi apart.
34. Prachi and Ranbir’s marriage is fixed after the truth about their relationship is revealed, but Akshay and Mihika are troubled by Prachi and Ranbir’s connection, leading to attempts to harm each other.
35. Ranbir dies in an accident. Prachi gives birth to a baby girl named Purvi.
36. 20 years later, Khushi is married into the Randhawa family. Purvi is supposed to marry Ashutosh.
37. Ranbir is a businessman who lives by the identity of Krishna Kakkad.
38. Ranbeer and Purvi come very close to meeting each other.
