- JHANAK’S SUICIDE ATTEMPT: Jhanak steals sleeping pills from Aniruddh’s grandfather and overdoses. Aniruddh anxiously takes her to the hospital. She recovers and returns home.

- Proud – Despite the obstacles, Jhanak respects herself and maintains a dignified personality when people start unjustly disrespecting her.
- Talented – Jhanak has displayed her dance skills on multiple occasions, showcasing her inherent talent, something that has even impressed Brij Bhushan.
- Righteous – Jhanak speaks up when she notices unjust treatment meted out to anyone. She has always supported Appu during her conflicting times.
- Independent – Although Jhanak leads a turbulent life, she never shies away from being self-dependent. She started off as a flower seller to support her family and now she insists on taking her own responsibility by leaving the Basu house.
