In 2004, in the city of Ujjain, Rajneesh Raghuvanshi, a medical intern, is smitten when he sees Purnima, a humble girl who sells flowers to look after her ailing mother and fund her sister’s education. Babuji, the Raghuvanshi patriarch, proceeds with his family to the Mahakal temple while Damyanti, an astrologer, predicts Rajneesh might die. Purnima faces a financial crisis when the Raghuvanshis refuse to let the villagers take flowers from their gardens.
