Week 13 Highpoints

Highpoint 1: in the pic: Doree
Doree saves Ganga from an earthquake but gets trapped in the debris. Later, a sage rescues her.

At the sage’s advice, Doree changes her identity into a small boy, Bhola, aiming to protect Ganga from Rukmini’s deadly ploys.

Under the influence of Rukmini’s drugs, Ganga behaves erratically on the streets. Mansi tends to him all night in an abandoned house.

- Doree meets Ganga: Doree brings Ganga to the slum, but he refuses to recognise her due to amnesia.
- Maya and Neelu’s collusion: Ganga’s fake sister Maya and Anand’s lover Neelu team up to benefit from the Thakur family’s internal conflict.
- Rukmini’s murderous plan: Alarmed by Ganga’s reappearance, Rukmini attempts to kill him but fails. Doree warns Ganga against Rukmini, but he mistakenly identifies Rukmini as Kailashi Devi, his saviour.
- Ganga marries Neelu: Neelu and Ganga get married, arrive at the Thakur mansion, present evidence that Ganga is Mahendra’s eldest son and send Anand to jail for attempting to kill Rukmini.
Full Story Recap:
The story revolves around Doree, a six-year-old endearing girl, who lives with her handicapped foster father, Ganga Prasad in the weavers’ tenement in Benaras. The world of orthodox patriarchy opens to her when she meets Kailashi Devi, the misogynistic head of the Thakur family.
