Week 13 Highpoints

Chanakya reveals Ashok’s true Kundali and the motives behind his actions to Kaurwaki.

(Anandi is Ashok’s sister, Pawan is Ashok’s bestfriend )
Pawan attempts to assassinate Ashok for insulting his love for Anandi. Kaurwaki saves Ashok and takes the blame for the assassination to save Pawan. Later, Ashok gets coronated as crown prince.

Kaurwaki tells Bindusar the truth about Ashok’s Kundali. Bindusar accepts Ashok. To protect herself, Helena kills Subandhu accusing him of making the fake Kundali. Later on his deathbed, Bindusar appoints Ashok as his successor.

Ashok learns of Kaurwaki’s sacrifices and Devi’s schemes. He stops Kaurwaki from leaving, and confesses his love for her and she reciprocates.

Ashok ascends the throne and sentences Vimla, Dayana, Helena, and Sushim to death.
Monthly Recap:
- Ashok’s vendetta: Ashok marries Kaurwaki to avenge his sister’s kidnapping by her cousin Bhadrak. Ashok also kidnaps Kaurwaki’s brother, Mudit to control her.
- Kaurwaki restores Dharma’s royal status: Ashok permits Kaurwaki to return to Kaling. On her journey, she rescues Bindusar from Kaling soldiers. In gratitude, Bindusar reinstates Dharma’s royal status at Kaurwaki’s request.
- Chanakya’s insight: Recognizing Kaurwaki’s significance in Ashok’s life, he advises Ashok to abduct her father, ensuring her presence in Magadh.
- Ashok ascends as Crown Prince: With Bindusar’s declining memory, Ashok cleverly secures the position of Crown Prince.
- Ashok imprisons Kaurwaki: Sushim’s inappropriate behaviour towards Kaurwaki leads Ashok to misunderstand their relationship, resulting in her imprisonment.
Full Story Recap:
Prince Ashok is born to the royal parents of Magadh, King Bindusar and Queen Dharma. However, due to the politics inside the palace, King Bindusar disowns Ashok and his mother Dharma, assuming the child will bring him bad luck. Ashok grows up as a commoner who admires his father, even though he can never see him.
