Agasthya: Imlie’s husband
An NRI businessman who returns to Purvaiya to take over the family business. He hates poor people because his older brother committed suicide after getting betrayed by a poor woman.
Sonali: Agasthya’s step-sister
Agasthya’s step-sister, Sonali aims to get her hands on the family business. Before Agasthya returns to India, she runs the business in illegal ways and earns a profit.
Plot points
- Imlie bumps into Agasthya Singh Chaudhary when he returns to Purvaiya from London.
- Imlie learns about a job opening at Agasthya’s hotel and applies for it. She lies about being a rich girl and lands the job of a chef by impressing Agasthya with her cooking skills.
- Agasthya learns that Imlie lied to him, and fires her from the job.
- Imlie convinces Agasthya to let her keep the job because she needs money for Ashu’s treatment.
- Agasthya decides to get married to Nyonika when Dadi tells him that she will hand over the property to Sonia if he refuses to get married.
- Agasthya develops a soft corner for Imlie and calls off his wedding with Nyonika.
- Agasthya makes a contractual marriage with Imlie and agrees to pay for Ashu’s treatment.
- After the marriage, Agasthya and Imlie eventually develop feelings for each other but do not confess it.
- Navya arrives with her sons, Vishwa and Avinash, to seek revenge from the Chaudharys for her husband’s death. Navya buys the Chaudhary outhouse and plans to take over their business.

- Amrit, disguised as the killer, kidnaps Imlie, trying to hurt her but eventually Agastya saves Imlie. The killer keeps attempting to kill Imlie on various occasions.
- The masked killer attacks Imlie but escapes when Agastya and Vishwa chase him.
- Imlie’s contract with Agastya ends, and she decides to marry Vishwa to protect Agastya.
